Auphonic processes existing recordings; its standard workflow does not narrate manuscript text.

Produce one file in several output formats, or connect recurring workflows through API and watch-folder tools.

Usage & terms3-minute billing minimumMultiple output formats count once

Free processing includes an Auphonic jingle. Recurring credits reset monthly; one-time credits do not expire.

Billing uses processed audio duration with a three-minute minimum per production. Multiple outputs and multitrack inputs do not create separate duration charges.

Re-running the same production with unchanged input files does not add a processing charge; replacing input files does.

Balance the reading and clean up the recording

The Intelligent Leveler balances speakers and music; noise and reverb controls address the recording environment. De-essing, plosive treatment, and filtering handle further voice cleanup. These processes work on supplied audio rather than creating a narrator from manuscript text.

Set loudness and delivery formats for the whole project

Choose loudness and peak limits, encoding, metadata, and chapter markers, then reuse the production settings. Auphonic supports multiple output versions, such as MP3 and AAC, in one production without charging separately for each format.

Credit use and processing

Trim speech clutter and prepare a transcript

Filler-word, cough, and silence cutting can shorten a recording. Paid access adds multilingual speech recognition, automatic chapters and shownotes, batch processing, and watch folders. Review those cuts when pauses or spoken hesitations are part of the intended performance.

Pay for processed audio time

The free allowance is two hours each month with an Auphonic jingle. Recurring credits reset; one-time credits do not expire. Changing settings and rerunning the same production with the same input files does not incur another processing charge.
