Capture the conversation as it happens
Record from the web or mobile app, use a meeting Notetaker, or capture computer audio through the Mac/Windows desktop app without a bot joining the call. Live words and speaker recognition give the author a transcript to follow while talking.
Desktop recording requires microphone/system-audio permissions. Participants still need the notices and consent required for the recording.
Bring the recorder's files into the same archive
Import supported MP3, WAV, M4A and video files, including recordings shared from Apple Voice Memos. Otter creates a transcript and accompanying summaries; each uploaded file processes independently and can be up to 5 GB.
Find and review material across conversations
Edit speaker labels and text, highlight important passages and organize conversations by project. AI Chat searches saved material and helps locate relevant information; final quotations remain connected to the recording for verification.

Basic exports MP3 and TXT; paid plans add PDF, DOCX and SRT. Basic allows three lifetime imports and thirty-minute conversations, while Pro allows ten monthly imports and ninety-minute conversations. Business separates unlimited live recording from its 6,000-minute monthly import allowance.
The current language list is English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese. A paid plan increases access; it does not expand the listed languages.
